About Harli
Harli is a 13 year old young lady from Lindsay, Oklahoma. She was in her first mini sprint car race at
the I44 Speedway when on the 4th lap her car hit the wall, started to roll and
then exploded into flames. The steering wheel melted so that they could not pull
it off to free her. In the panic Harli had already taken her helmet off
while still trapped in the blaze. She was trapped in the burning car for
some time before she could finally pulled to safety.
The ambulance that was standing by took
Harli to OU Medical Center where they quickly transferred her to the Shriners
hospital in Galveston Texas. She was evaluated to have 3rd degree burns over
more than 50% of her body.
